Ready to Work Data Analytics & Power BI Support

PorchLight Insights has provided ongoing support in data analytics, reporting, and training to San Antonio Ready to Work (SARTW), a voter-funded workforce development program administered by the City of San Antonio Workforce Development Office. Funded through a ⅛ cent sales tax, the program provides scholarships, training opportunities, and wrap-around support services to help residents build skills for in-demand jobs.

Our support builds on earlier work done by Lauron Fischer who served as the program’s first Data Analytics Manager prior to joining PorchLight Insights. In that role, she created SARTW’s first public Power BI dashboard to share real-time program metrics with the community. Through PorchLight, Lauron now has worked with the department on a part-time, contract basis to expand its reporting and analytics capacity.

This includes developing new dashboards and reports connected to the program’s Salesforce case management system, supporting performance forecasting, monitoring progress toward goals, and improving data quality and reporting processes. PorchLight also provides staff training and works with SARTW partner agencies—including Alamo Colleges District, Project QUEST, Workforce Solutions Alamo, Goodwill, Hallmark University, and Restore Education—to strengthen data practices and coordination.

Our work involves managing and analyzing large, complex datasets to give the program clear, accessible information for decision-making and public accountability.
