Support for Data Strategy and What Works Cities Certification

The Innovation and Technology Department of the Town of Normal, Illinois is leading the town’s efforts toward implementing citywide data strategy and becoming a smart city, and sought help to ensure that their process was in alignment with best practices.

PorchLight Insights has worked with the Town of Normal to advise on the use of data, performance measures and technology in municipal decision-making. The project is focused on helping the Town of Normal build its internal data capacity and ultimately achieve the Bloomberg Philanthropies What Works Cities certification.
