Understanding donor motivations and preferences
PorchLight Insights partnered with the United Way of Greater Kansas City (UWGKC) to understand giving habits, motivations, and donor preferences across the Kansas City metro. Using a mixed-method approach, we surveyed a statistically significant random sample of residents and UWGKC’s direct donors (with targeted outreach to newer and selected giving-level segments). Using PowerBI, our team conducted a thorough analysis across donor segments and prepared slides for UWGKC to use in future presentations. Findings from both surveys surfaced actionable insights to guide UWGKC’s donor engagement decisions.
