City Manager Recruitment and Interim Support

Lauron Fischer of the PorchLight Insights team supported the recruitment process for the City Manager of Olmos Park, Texas. Lauron interviewed the Mayor, all City department heads, residents, and leaders of neighboring communities to create a recruitment brochure which included thorough background information on the City of Olmos Park as both a community and an organization, and a detailed job description that was tailored to the unique aspects and expectations of the role. Lauron disseminated the brochure and opportunity through Texas city management professional networks. Lauron offered strategic advising to the Mayor about the recruitment process, assisted with logistics, and served on the hiring committee which evaluated all applications and interviewed finalists. Lauron also provided management and administrative support to the Interim City Manager and staff during the city manager transition period.
